Sian is founder and owner of Kampus Africa and the nerdy one on the team with a background in systems design and programming. She then retrained to become an English teacher so the move into educational technology and online learning was an obvious one to make. Currently she is keeping abreast with developments in artificial intelligence in education and running workshops for teachers on this topic.
She has worked in Eastern Europe, the Far East and in vocational skills development, teacher training and online course design in Tanzania.
Sian has over 65,000 students from across the world on her own online courses and was awarded a fellowship of the Royal Geographical Society for her scientific and mountaineering expeditions.
She has a master’s degree in Online and Distance Education and a post graduate diploma in Gender and Development. She is available for consultancy work in Africa, Asia, Europe and remotely.
Emm is originally from Sierra Leone and is the stylish one on the team. He’s an academic who started out in the corporate world before switching to become a full time educator.
He is a Fellow of The Chartered College of Teaching and because three masters degrees (English Language and Literature, ESOL, and Educational Leadership and Management) are not enough, he’s now a PhD (Education) candidate.
He has experience ranging from kindergarten through to higher education and has worked in international education for twelve years. With his experience in second language acquisition, Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) and International Baccalaureate curricula he’s a valuable member of the team.

Tim is originally from Wales and has over 30 years experience working in international education in southern Europe, Mozambique and China.
He has taught biology to Cambridge A level and International Baccalaureate Diploma level before moving into more challenging leadership roles. As Principal, he led a number of international schools to become IB World Schools and to achieve world-standard accreditation status.
Tim’s main interests lie in teacher training and professional development, having trained over 5,000 teachers in student-centered learning. With a master’s in Online and Distance Education and many years in international education, he can help with classroom and online education solutions.
